A man who walked into a DeKalb County grocery store with a gun and demanded an employee open the cash registers Wednesday morning is in custody, according to Channel 2 Action News.

DeKalb County police said the armed man approached an employee at Ingles on Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain.

Police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell said the robber got away with a small amount of money, but did not specify the amount. No one was hurt during the incident.

An officer saw the man enter a townhome in the 400 block of Prince of Wales Drive, which is near the store. He was barricaded inside the residence for hours and SWAT officers responded to the scene.

The man, whose name has not been released, was captured just after 3 p.m., Campbell said.
