Man shot, killed in SW Atlanta

A man was fatally shot in southwest Atlanta on Tuesday evening, police said.

Officers responded to the 600 block of University Avenue about 7:15 p.m. to find a man who had been shot and killed, Atlanta police said. Homicide investigators were called to the scene.

No other details on the shooting investigation have been released.
