A man is dead after he was shot during an argument inside a northwest Atlanta home Wednesday morning.

The shooting happened in a house on Cameron M. Alexander Boulevard about 12:30 a.m., according to Atlanta police spokesman Officer Steve Avery.

Investigators said the man was involved in an “ongoing dispute” with a woman who lived in the area.

The fight continued into the morning, Avery said.

A second man arrived at the home during the dispute and shot the victim, police said.

The woman and the suspected gunman both left the scene, police said. The victim’s name has not been released.

Neighbors said the victim is a well-known owner of a body shop in the area, Channel 2 Action News reported.

An investigation is ongoing.
