The GBI is investigating a weekend shooting at a Gwinnett County event hall that left an Alpharetta man dead.

Norcross police received a 911 call about the gunfire at the Fusion Event Hall on Brook Hollow Parkway about 5 a.m. Sunday, GBI spokeswoman Natalie Ammons said Monday in a news release.

Officers found Alejandro J. Ramirez, 35, at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. Ramirez was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No one has been arrested.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the shooting. Those with details related to the case are encouraged to call the GBI tip line at 1-800-597-8477.
