A man was shot several times and killed while standing in his mother’s driveway in South Fulton on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
South Fulton police told Channel 2 Action News that a car pulled up and someone inside shot the victim at the house off Carriage Court. Witnesses and the victim’s family told Channel 2 the man was shot at least six more times after he was on the ground.
The man was identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office as 29-year-old Richard Thorpe of Atlanta.
Police believe the incident is connected to another shooting in the area last week, but authorities have not said how the two shootings may be connected.
