A DeKalb County woman fell to her death from a second-story apartment window after a domestic dispute became violent, police said.

Mikle Allen Spann, 53, was taken into custody by DeKalb police officers arriving at an apartment complex on Concepts 21 Drive off Hillandale Road late Sunday night. Detectives determined there was an argument between the man and a 63-year-old woman that “turned physical,” and she fell, police spokesman Sgt. J.D. Spencer said.

The woman died of her injuries at a local hospital, he said. She is not being named until her family is notified.

Spann was booked into the DeKalb County Jail on a murder charge. Spencer did not disclose his relationship to the woman.
