Police are investigating after a man and woman were found shot to death Wednesday night in a house in southwest Atlanta.

“Preliminary information suggests that this incident was a murder-suicide,” Atlanta police Officer Donald Hannah said in a statement.

The bodies were found just before midnight in the 1900 block of Sandcreek Drive, which is in the Sandtown area.

Officers were responding to the home on a wellness check after receiving a call, Hannah said.
