Woman fatally shot in head in Rockdale County
A woman in Rockdale County was found fatally shot in the head Thursday, authorities said.
Deputies were called about a person hit by a vehicle in the 1000 block of Frontier Drive, Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Tijuana Harris said in a news release. However, when deputies arrived, they found the woman in the road, Harris said.
An autopsy will be performed by the county’s coroner, who was at the scene.
No other details have been released. An investigation is ongoing.
