Atlanta police are investigating a deadly triple shooting at a home in the 1800 block of Newman Place in northwest Atlanta.

“We are not looking for any suspects at this time,” Officer Donald Hannah said.

A 37-year-old man and two women, ages 34 and 22, were found shot to death in a bedroom, according to Lt. Carven Tyus. Family members identified two of the victims as Norris Lowe and Jocelyn Shepherd, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Gwendolyn Shepherd told Channel 2 that Lowe had been abusive to her daughter in the past.

“I tried to get her away from him,” Shepherd said.

A family member of Lowe’s said he wasn’t that kind of man.

“He was a good man,” Mia Ware said. “He took care of everybody.”

Investigators were working to determine whether the shooting was a murder-suicide and the relationship between the three, Tyus said.

“The only thing we know at this time is that these three people did know each other,” he said.

Three others in the home heard the gunshots and called 911, according to police.
