A jealous boyfriend opened fire when he saw his girlfriend return to a College Park apartment complex with two men early Monday morning, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The four were involved in an exchange of gunfire near the back of The Life at Avery Park apartments in the 2600 block of Charlestown Drive, according to police.

Three people, including the woman, were hit, College Park police Chief Ferman Williford told the news station.

When officers arrived about 4 a.m., one man was found dead at the scene. He was identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office as 36-year-old Skyler B. McKenzie.

The woman and her boyfriend were injured and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. The woman was shot in the neck and is critical, Channel 2 reported. Her boyfriend is stable.

The fourth person is in police custody and is being questioned, according to the news station. None of the others involved has been named by police.
