JUST IN: Victim ID’d in deadly triple shooting

One man is dead and two others are injured following a shooting in Fulton County, police said.

One man died and two others were injured in a shooting in southwest Atlanta, police said.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Smith Street Tuesday night, Atlanta police spokeswoman Stephanie Brown told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The two injured men were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, Channel 2 Action News reported. The other man was found dead inside the home.

He was identified Wednesday by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office as Nicholas Smith, 43, of Atlanta.

The men were reportedly involved in an altercation inside the home’s kitchen that ended in gunfire.

“We don’t know if those individuals were in an altercation with each other or if there were other people inside that location,” Atlanta police Lt. Carven Tyus told Channel 2.

An investigation is ongoing.
