A double shooting left one man dead Monday afternoon in southwest Atlanta.

Officers responded to the 2800 block of Hapeville Road just after 1:30 p.m., Atlanta police said. Two men were found with gunshot wounds at the scene.

One had been shot in his hip and hand and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, police said. The other had been shot in his chest and died at the scene.

Investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting. It’s unclear if police are seeking a suspect.
