A wreck that involved two Atlanta police motorcycle officers briefly shut down Piedmont Road, police confirmed.

Atlanta police said the officers were traveling north on Piedmont Road at Lakeshore Drive around 5 p.m. when a car turned in front of them, causing the collision.

The officers were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition, and the driver remained on scene and wasn’t hurt, police said. The driver faces charges of failure to obey traffic control device and improper left turn.

Police shut down the road between the I-85 overpass and Adina Drive, the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center reported. The wreck has since cleared, and all lanes have reopened.
