A SWAT situation in the Settles Lake subdivision in Forsyth County reportedly ended without shots being fired or an arrest.

The standoff, which was at a home off Settles Grove Road near Cumming, began as an argument between two neighbors, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Doug Rainwater told Channel 2 Action News.

The argument escalated to where guns became involved, a shot was supposedly fired and 911 was called, Rainwater said. One of the neighbors then barricaded himself in his home with a weapon.

However, authorities reportedly determined no shots were ever fired and no crime was ever committed, so the situation ended without an arrest.
