Authorities canceled an Amber Alert after a 5-month-old boy, who had been abducted by his father, was found safe in Conyers with a family member, police said.

Clarkston police are still searching for 26-year-old Emmanuel Singleton, who is accused of stabbing the child’s mother before taking the child Thursday afternoon. The incident took place about 3:45 p.m. at a home on Brockett Road.

“The child’s mother had been stabbed and the suspect, her ex, took her Volkswagen Jetta and her 5-month-old child,” Clarkston Detective William Miller said.

The woman was rushed to a hospital after the stabbing, but her condition was not provided.

The child, Noah Singleton, was found shortly before 10 p.m., according to a Facebook post by police. Neither the child’s father nor the Volkswagen have been located.
