Seven years after a local boxing great was shot and killed during an armed robbery, a jury has now convicted the shooter of murder, Channel 2 Action News reported Monday.

Charmon Sinkfield faces the death penalty in the July 2009 murder of boxer Vernon Forrest during a robbery outside a gas station along Whitehall Street.
