A 24-year-old man has been arrested on 50 counts of sexual exploitation of children, Bartow County sheriff’s officials announced.

Ryan Jay Erikson, 24, of Acworth, was released from jail on $20,000 bond, spokesman Jonathan Rogers said Thursday.

The investigation began in May when GBI officials notified Bartow County sheriff’s officials about the possible downloading of child pornography at a residence, Rogers said.

Erikson was arrested Tuesday, Rogers said. There are no other suspects in the investigation.
