Roswell police are searching for a man they say attacked a waitress and stole her tip money at an apartment complex last week.

The woman was walking to her Holcomb Bridge Road apartment from a gas station Thursday night when she was attacked by a man who came out of a wood line, Roswell police Lt. Noah Caplan told Channel 2 Action News.

“He put a sharp instrument, or knife, up to her and demanded her belongings,” Caplan said.

The man made off with $1,000 in tips the waitress had in her wallet, Channel 2 reported.

Caplan said the woman was not hurt in the attack.

The victim was unable to get a good look at the man, but anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Roswell police.In other news:
