An Atlanta man was found dead at a home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, officials said in a release Monday.

Guy Eargle Jr.’s body was discovered 6:15 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of 17th Avenue SE, Fort Lauderdale police Det. Tracy Figone said in the release.

“Detectives are not disclosing the manner in which the victim was murdered at this time,” Figone said. “This is an active investigation and circumstances surrounding the incident are still being.”

Police said Eargle, 68, was a part time resident of Fort Lauderdale and Atlanta.
