A man was shot near Clark Atlanta University Friday evening, police confirmed.

The man, who wasn’t a student, drove up to the security booth at Atlanta Student Movement Boulevard and Jomes P. Brawley Drive after being shot around 8:30 p.m., Clark Atlanta University police chief Debra Williams said.

Atlanta police told AJC.com the man was shot in the arm and is in stable condition.

The person was shot in Dean Rusk Park on Lawton Street, Williams said. She said the incident happened off campus and did not involve any students.

Atlanta police were called to assist in the investigation, and they said this was a domestic incident.

This shooting comes within two weeks of a Clark Atlanta freshman being shot and paralyzed while driving on Lucile Avenue, AJC.com previously reported.

Within the past eight days, three armed carjackings also took place near the Atlanta University Center complex. Two of those robbed were Morehouse College students, AJC.com previously reported. One arrest has been made.
