An Atlanta man was killed and another was flown to a hospital after a rollover crash in Alabama over the weekend, authorities said.

Samuel W. Colbert, 27, was driving a 2011 Jeep Cherokee along Twin Bridges Road near Flomaton, Ala., about 1:10 a.m. Sunday when the SUV left the road and overturned, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Colbert, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release. His passenger, Zachry Alsop, 26, of Atlanta, was injured and flown to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

Flomaton is in southern Alabama and borders the Florida Panhandle. It is located about 65 miles northeast of Mobile, Ala., and about 45 miles north of Pensacola.

No other information about the fatal crash was provided by authorities.

According to an obituary, Colbert was born in Brewton, Ala. and moved to Atlanta in 2013. He worked with C.F. Real Estate as a property leasing manager.
