An Atlanta man was found dead in the backyard of a Clayton County home this weekend, police said.

Authorities went to the 500 block of Yancey Drive about 3:46 p.m. Saturday after getting a person down call, Forest Park police Maj. Chris Matson said in a statement.

They located 35-year-old Ollie Antonio Stephens with at least one gunshot wound, Matson said.

“No one currently lives at the ... home,” he said. “It has been vacant for an unknown period of time.”

While the GBI will perform an autopsy Monday to determine the exact cause of death, investigators are treating the case as a homicide.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Forest Park Police Department’s crime tip line at 404-608-2388 or Forest Park dispatchers at 404-366-4141. Tipsters may also contact the Clayton County Fugitive Squad at 770-477-4479.
