2 arrested in Paulding drive-by shooting

Two teenagers have been arrested for a drive-by shooting that left a Paulding County woman with “extremely serious injuries,” a sheriff’s official said.

Zackariah Daniel Mitchell, 18, was arrested April 20, and Kayden Louis Fillingame, 19, was arrested May 2, Sgt. Ashley Henson said Thursday.

Both were charged in the April 11 shooting of Kathleen Walker, 52, in the 500 block of Dallas Road. Walker was wounded in her “lower extremities,” Henson said. She is still in the hospital.

Mitchell is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of the prescription drug promethazine hydrochloride.

Fillingame is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

Both suspects are in the Paulding County jail without bond, Henson said.
