Henry County police have arrested two men in connection with a fatal shooting in the McDonough area, Capt. Joey Smith said.

Deshaun Middlebrooks, 20, of McDonough, and Tory Jaleel Jones, 18, of Hampton, are charged in the Jan. 25 slaying of Quintavious D. Barber, 17, at the Sable Chase Apartments, Smith said.

Middlebrooks was arrested early Friday by Henry County SWAT officers at a home on Sweetgum Lane in Stockbridge, Smith said. Jones was taken into custody during a traffic stop Sunday evening on Jodeco Road.

“This is a very active investigation and specific details cannot be released at this time,” Smith said.

Specific charges against the suspect were not released.
