26 arrested, $400K seized during Butts County traffic operation on I-75

Authorities arrested 26 people and seized more than $400,000 in cash and 12 pounds of methamphetamine during a four-day operation along I-75 in Butts County.

The suspects were arrested after traffic stops along the interstate from April 8 until Thursday, the Butts County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to AJC.com.

In one traffic stop, $326,000 in cash was seized, the sheriff’s office said. Another prompted a high-speed chase into Monroe County, which ended with authorities finding 2 kilograms of meth.

The people arrested during the series of traffic stops were:

• Cameron Daquan Allison, of Liberty, has a hold from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office;

• Ralph Austin, of Macon, faces a charge of possession of marijuana;

• Wesley Bailey Jr., of Ellenwood, faces charges of attempting to elude officers for a felony, trafficking cocaine, illegal drugs, marijuana or methamphetamine, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and following too closely;

• Brett Daniel Banks, of Luthersville, faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and brake light violation;

• Jeffrey Antoine Clark, of Macon, faces charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and failure to maintain lane and defective equipment;

• Aleasha Fae Collins, of Jackson, faces a charge of possession of methamphetamine;

• Kathy Costello, of Jenkinsburg, faces a charge of possession and use of drug-related objects;

• James Tarhish Driessen, of St. Helena Island, S.C., faces a charge of violating the Georgia Controlled Substances Act;

• Lisa Marie Dunn-Arrington, of Macon, faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana;

• Gerome Frank Eason, of Blackshear, faces a charge of trafficking methamphetamine;

• Daniel Todd Ewald, of Enslewood, Fla., faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession and use of drug-related objects and possession of synthetic cannabinoids or synthetic marijuana;

• Taylor Marie Ewald, of Anglewood, Fla., faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession and use of drug-related objects and possession of synthetic cannabinoids or synthetic marijuana;

• Michael Brett Hardy, of Jackson, has a hold out of Henry County;

• John Mark Johnson, of Mershon, faces a charge of trafficking methamphetamine;

• Michael Alexander Johnson, of Red Oak, faces a charge of violating the Georgia Controlled Substances Act;

• Montrell Jamar McMillan, of Hinesville, faces a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute;

• Zerrick Von Keith Nelson, of Atlanta, faces a charge of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and not keeping drugs in their original container;

• Arthur John Perry, of Savannah, faces charges of DUI and driving with a suspended or revoked license;

• Ashley Marie Polson, of Ellenwood, faces charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession and use of drug-related objects and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana;

• Patrice Camille Robinson, of St. Helena Island, S.C., faces a charge of possession of cocaine;

• Raidel Rodolfo Rosa Roasa, of Flint, Mich., faces charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug-related objects;

• Xavier Miller Scott, of Atlanta, faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and violating the Georgia Controlled Substances Act;

• Martin Todd Smith, of Barnesville, faces a charge of possession of marijuana;

• Christopher Michael Weiss, of Ocala, Fla., faces charges of possession of synthetic cannabinoids or synthetic marijuana and felony possession of a marijuana derivative;

• Ayanna Booker Wells, of Atlanta, faces charges of trafficking cocaine, illegal drugs, marijuana or methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, conspiracy to commit a felony and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony;

• Chiliquta Wright, of Leesburg, Fla., faces charges of trafficking cocaine, illegal drugs, marijuana or methamphetamine and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by deputies with the Carroll County, Douglas County and Lamar County sheriff’s office as well as agents with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. The sheriff and five deputies from Wicomico County, Md., also assisted in the operation.
