Arrest made in recent Atlanta high school grad’s killing

A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed a recent high school graduate last month, Atlanta police confirmed.

Justin Collier, 19, is in the Fulton County jail on charges of murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Authorities arrested him last week in Decatur, Atlanta police Officer Stephanie Brown told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

On May 30, Collier allegedly shot and killed Joshua Torrance at an apartment in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Torrance, 18, had graduated from B.E.S.T. Academy, an all-boys public school in Atlanta, days before the shooting.

According to Channel 2 Action News, he was headed to Albany State University in the fall to study engineering or architecture.
