Police have arrested an Atlanta man accused of shooting another man in the head and killing him, police said tonight.

Terry Cochran, 24, is charged with murder, three counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection with a March 11 shooting on Center Street in northwest Atlanta, Officer John Chafee with Atlanta police said.

Cochran is accused of killing Quantavious Lee Morrison, 23, of Atlanta, by shooting him in the head with an automatic weapon, according to the incident report.

Cochran was charged with the killing March 24, but was not located until Friday, when he was booked into the Fulton County jail. He was being held Monday night without bond, booking records show.

Officers were called to the 2500 block of Center Street shortly before 1 a.m. March 11 and arrived to find Morrison dead in the passenger seat of a 2008 white Dodge Avenger, according to police. Several other vehicles in the parking lot were damaged by gunfire, police said.

Information about a motive in the case was not released.
