A man has been arrested on rape and other charges in connection with a sexual assault at a Douglas County apartment complex, the sheriff’s office said.

Adedoja Olaniyi Bah, 30, was identified after deputies responded July 25 to the Reserve at Sweetwater Apartments, according to the sheriff’s office.

Bah was visiting the United States at the time of the incident, officials said. He is from Nigeria and last lived in Japan.

A sheriff’s official is working with an immigration agent on the investigation, the sheriff’s office said.

In addition to rape, Bah is being held at the county jail without bond on battery and other sex related charges.
