Deputies in Coweta County are investigating after three people robbed a Waffle House at gunpoint.

The incident happened about 3 a.m. Sunday at the restaurant on Ga. 154 in Newnan, according to the Coweta sheriff’s office.

Two men and a woman wore dark clothing and masks during the robbery, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post. Investigators said one of the suspects held employees at gunpoint while the others took money from the register and cut open the safe.

The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Coweta sheriff’s office at 678-423-6698.
