A man was fatally shot as he ran from a group of men who opened fire on him outside a northwest Atlanta restaurant Wednesday, police said.

Antwan Jones, 39, of College Park, and his brother had gotten into an argument with two men at a Valero Gas Station in the 3100 block of Donald Lee Holloway Parkway before the fatal shooting, according to the police report obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

After the argument, Jones left the location and walked to a nearby American Wings Seafood restaurant.

“At some point, (Jones) exited the restaurant and was confronted by several males inside vehicles,” according to the report.

During the altercation, the men pulled guns as Jones ran across the busy road.

Jones was shot several times before he fell dead at a nearby Petro Gas Station parking lot.

A tractor-trailer was also struck during the gunfire, police said.

Descriptions of the suspects have not been released.
