By the time Henry County police find the man they say stole up to $300 of meat products, he may have already eaten half of it.

Authorities have been searching for the alleged meat thief, who goes by the nickname “Zay,” since April 30, according to a post on the Henry County police Facebook page.

About 1 p.m. that day, the man walked into the Ingles in the 100 block of Fairview Road in Ellenwood and nabbed between $200 and $300 worth of meat products — all tucked in his jacket, police said.

Anyone with information about the suspect, who police believe is from DeKalb County, is asked to call Henry County police at 770-288-8252.
