Three men and a woman are facing felony charges in Hall County after authorities said they were caught cultivating more than $706,000 of marijuana.

Tuan Le Khac, 39, of Buford, James Thanh Nguyen, 52, of Lawrenceville, Thu Loan Phan, 44, of Montezuma, and Vinh Thein Tran, 54, of Lawrenceville  were “actively engaged in cultivating the marijuana plants” when they were arrested, Hall sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Don Scalia said.

The arrests are the culmination of an investigation by Hall’s Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad, sheriff’s deputies and Gainesville police, Scalia said.

Law enforcement officers were sent to a residence in the 6000 block of Old Wood Hollow Way in Buford to execute a search warrant Wednesday. The four were inside the home at the time, as were 253 marijuana plants that they are accused of growing in the basement, authorities said.

The suspects were booked into the Hall County Jail on charges of manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and felony possession of marijuana.
