The second of two suspects in a fatal shooting on Edgewood Avenue has been arrested and charged with murder, Atlanta police say.

On Monday, Nigel Whitehead turned himself in to the Fulton County Jail on charges of murder and aggravated assault, Atlanta police spokesman Officer Lukasz Sajdak said.

The first subject, whose name has not been released, turned himself in on Nov. 16 and was charged with murder and aggravated assault. The man, who is in his 20s, was with his attorney when he turned himself in, Maj. Adam Lee III said.

The men were both captured on surveillance video outside a bar where 32-year-old Jerome Mitchell Mormon Jr. and another woman were shot earlier this month, while out celebrating a new job, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.

After seeing their images on the news from the video footage of the night of the homicide, they reported that they looked like the people that robbed them. The victims of a robbery that occurred a few weeks before the homicide successfully picked out the two men from a photographic lineup, Sajdak said.
