Around 2:20 a.m., a 74-year-old inmate died at a Savannah hospital. That inmate, who had been housed at Coastal State Prison in Garden City, also had underlying conditions. Three Coastal State inmates have died from the coronavirus.

Statewide, 349 inmates and 134 prison employees have tested positive for the virus. One prison employee has died from COVID-19, according to the DOC.

Autry State Prison in Pelham has reported the most cases with 67 inmates and nine employees testing positive, according to the DOC.
