A Clayton County corrections officer was killed early Sunday morning near the intersection of Tara Boulevard and Camelot Parkway when a car pulled out in front of his motorcycle.

Authorities said the man, whose name has not yet been released, was hit by a second automobile after the initial collision, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Clayton County police said the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Tara Boulevard when a vehicle on Camelot Parkway pulled out in front of him. A vehicle, also traveling southbound on Tara Boulevard, struck the driver and the motorcycle, Channel 2 said.
