A Forsyth County has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing his roommate multiple times with a kitchen knife.

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Robin Regan said law enforcement officers responded to a single-wide trailer on Karr Road early Sunday morning. Upon arrival, they found 48-year-old Truitt Cheeley with “several stab wounds and lacerations.”

Donald Clifford Griffin, 57, was arrested on scene. He was charged with murder after Cheeley died at Northside Hospital-Forsyth.

“Detectives believe Griffin stabbed Cheeley with a kitchen knife multiple times,” Regan said. “…Both males were living in the rented trailer with additional individuals and had been having a dispute prior to Griffin stabbing Cheeley.”

No further information was immediately available.
