Channel 2 Action News is reaching the growing community of smart audio technology enthusiasts with its integration on Amazon Echo devices. News and weather updates by Channel 2 Action News anchors and Severe Weather Team 2 meteorologists can now be heard with the quick voice command, "Alexa, what's in the news?"

While setting a timer and playing music are the two most popular uses for owners of Amazon Echo devices, listening to news updates comes in third. Enabling the WSB-TV skill on the Alexa app allows users to hear a brief update of the day's news and weather on demand. If you are one of the more than 5 million people who've purchased an Echo, here’s how to enable the WSB-TV skill:

·         Open the Alexa App

·         Tap skills on the left navigation bar

·         Search WSB-TV and hit enable.

-         Tap "manage in flash briefing" to move WSB-TV to the top.

While Channel 2 Action News updates can be heard using the Alexa app, they can be seen on Amazon Fire TV, Roku and Apple TV with live streaming of all newscasts, replays of local programming specials and weather updates.
