Cobb standoff ends with suspect in custody

Cobb County police SWAT officers took a man into custody Wednesday morning following a standoff that began with a domestic incident.

Officers were called to the home on Spring Mountain Lane around 1:30 a.m. after a fight between a husband and wife, according to Cobb police spokesman Mike Bowman.

“Officers arrived and the male suspect barricaded himself inside the house,” Bowman told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in an email. “The female victim was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for injuries received during the incident.”
