Marietta police are seeking three people suspected of robbing a man Wednesday afternoon at a apartment complex and triggering an hourslong lockdown and SWAT standoff.

The victim told officers a woman and two men took his wallet, cash and car keys while he was visiting a friend at the Veritas at East Cobb in the 700 block of Franklin Gateway.

Witnesses reported seeing the trio enter one of the units after the robbery, leading police call in the SWAT unit, police spokesman Officer Chuck McPhilamy said.

Residents were asked to stay inside their homes.

After two hours of attempting to communicate with the suspects, the SWAT unit entered the apartment and determined they had already left, McPhilamy said.

Police lifted the lockdown around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to McPhilamy, multiple persons of interest have been identified. Additional details were not released Thursday because the investigation is active.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact Marietta police Detective Ellenson at 770-794-5477 or Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta at 404-577-8477.
