A car, with an 8-year-old inside, was stolen Wednesday night in Atlanta from the 2200 block of Essex Avenue.

The car was stolen about 7 p.m. and within a half-hour authorities said the child was found unharmed, in the 3200 block of Benjamin E. Mays Drive, according to John Chafee, Atlanta police spokesman.

The car was still missing as of 8 p.m., police said.
