Layla Maria Lugo, 25, was arrested by San Diego police several blocks from the alleged incident, the television station reported. She was charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon that was not a firearm.

According to police, Lugo got into an argument with a 30-year-old man, and when it escalated, the woman attacked the man, KNSD reported.

“The suspect grabbed a glass bong and hit the victim in the head several times with it,” deputies told the television station.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, KNSD reported.
Lugo was being held in the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility in lieu of $30,000 bond.
