A 16-year-old student armed with a knife confronted a school resource officer Tuesday morning in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The officer then shot the student, resulting in the second straight day of school shootings in the Badger State.
According to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, police, the student and the officer exchanged gunfire at Oshkosh West High School. Both were injured in the exchange, and both were taken to local hospitals.
The extent of their injuries isn’t known. No other students were injured, but the school was placed on lockdown. According to NBC26News, all Oshkosh schools will be closed on Wednesday as police investigate rumors of other threats.
On Monday, a student at Waukesha South High School exchanged gunfire with a school resource officer.
