14-year-old in hospital after being shot in Covington home

A 14-year-old boy is in the hospital after he was shot at a Newton County home, authorities confirmed.
The shooting happened Monday at a home on Wilshire Walk in Covington, according to an incident report obtained by AJC.com.
Police did not provide an update on his condition. The details of what led to the incident are unclear.
No suspects are in custody in connection with the shooting, according to police spokesman Favel Edwards. An investigation is ongoing.
