The coroner’s office is still waiting to receive the teen’s body, so an autopsy can be conducted, officials said.

Dayton police arrested Nathan’s father, Robert Baker Wylie, 40, last week on drug possession and child endangering charges, according to online jail records.

Dayton police were dispatched around 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday for a reported overdose in the 1000 block of South Broadway.

Medics were working on the unconscious teen when police arrived.

Wylie’s co-worker, who was on the scene, told police that the father was “on drugs and the boy got into his stuff,” Dayton police Officer Joseph Drumm wrote in the incident report.

Medics administered 4 milligrams of Narcan, to no avail, before transporting the teen to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment, according to the police report.

“At the hospital they had gotten a heartbeat back, but did not know anything further on his condition at this time,” Drumm wrote

Officers served Wylie with an outstanding drug possession warrant on Tuesday, and added a new charge of child endangerment.
