Lassiter High School officials have cleaned up after vandals spray painted the Cobb County school’s football field, just in time for Lassiter’s big game Friday night.

“There was some minor vandalism that took placed overnight on the football field, some spray paint involved,” confirmed Cobb county spokesman Doug Goodwin, “While that’s unwelcome and unfortunate, most of the spray paint has already been cleaned up.”

The vandals’ display was short-lived. Lassiter’s synthetic turf field made clean-up quick and easy, Goodwin said.

The Trojans will face the Peachtree Ridge Lions at home in round one of the state playoffs tonight.

School and county officials are investigating the incident, Goodwin said.
