1. Georgia cities are lagging in growth

The census has released data on the growth of cities in America and Georgia cities are nowhere near the top of the list. Georgia's fastest growing city, Smyrna, is only #50 on the list with 2.6% growth over the last year. Texas leads the pack with 5 of the top 10 fastest growing cities. [How Atlanta, Marietta rank]

2. Joblessness holds steady

With Georgia's economy on the rebound and an estimated 100,000 new jobs coming to the state in 2015, the joblessness rate remains at 6.3%. Last year, the jobless rate was 7.3%. The state also recently experienced its largest April-to-April job growth in 16 years. [Will the unemployment rate continue to slide?]

3. The house that Ted built may no longer be an Atlanta institution

With CNN's ratings circling the drain and the network struggling to rebuild, many jobs within the Turner family of television networks are now being moved to New York and Los Angeles. Turner Broadcasting eliminated 1,500 jobs last year and two-thirds of those were in Atlanta. [Could CNN and Turner fully pull out of Atlanta?]

4. The Hawks, fans are looking for redemption

Fresh off Wednesday's loss in game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, the Atlanta Hawks are hoping to win tonight's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
