1. Future of Georgia’s transportation on hold thanks to Congress

Currently, 55% of the state's transportation budget comes from federal funding. This is a problem as Congress tends to lockdown and passes very little legislation. Over $447 million in projects are on the line. [MARTA funding affected]

2. Atlanta native is now #2 at the Department of Justice

Yesterday, the U.S. Senate voted to confirm Atlanta's former top prosecutor Sally Quillian Yates as the Deputy Attorney General. Both Georgia senators voted in favor of her nomination. [Nomination was on hold for 5 months]

3. “Don’t Run from the Cops” campaign suspended

The campaign by the Atlanta Citizens Review Board has been suspended after Atlanta City Council members told the review board they disagreed with the advice given. [Director of Review Board stunned and flabbergasted]

4. The latest in Atlanta sports

The Atlanta Hawks played the Washington Wizards in Game 5 of the NBA Playoffs last night. [Game Highlights Here]
