A Suwanee computer analyst has a $1 million win to analyze.

Carlton Davis, 49, matched the first five winning numbers from the Sept. 14 Powerball drawing to win his prize.

Davis bought the winning ticket at Kroger, 3651 Peachtree Parkway in Suwanee. Winning numbers from the drawing were: 1-17-25-37-44 and the Powerball was 20.

“I looked at the numbers on the screen and on the ticket, and they looked alike,” he recalled. “I said, ‘Wow!’ I almost fell out. It was unreal, and I couldn’t believe it.” Davis intends to invest his winnings.

This Saturday’s Powerball drawing is at an estimated $60 million. Powerball tickets are $2 per play.

Meanwhile, the estimated jackpot for Friday’s Mega Millions drawing is $173 million. The jackpot has rolled 17 times since July 30. A Mega Millions ticket costs $1.
