Whitfield County authorities have identified a suspect in the Sunday night robbery and death of a convenience store clerk.

Someone called 911 after finding the clerk on the floor at Kanku's Express on Airport Road just before midnight, Sheriff Scott Chitwood said in a news release.

The victim's name has not been released pending notification of his next of kin.

The Whitfield County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are working together on the case.

According to the GBI, 21-year-old Skyy Raven Marie Mims, whose last known address is in Detroit, is being sought in connection with the slaying. Warrants have been issued charging Mims with murder.

Mims is 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs between 115 and 130 pounds.

"She is believed to be in the Atlanta area and should be considered armed and dangerous," GBI spokeswoman Sherry Lang said early Tuesday.

Lang asked that anyone with information on Mims call the GBI's Calhoun office at 706-624-1424 or the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office at 706-278-3029.

Investigators are reviewing the store's surveillance video, Chitwood said.
