Two Riverdale teenagers have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Lithonia man who was trying to sell them his phone, Clayton County police reported Saturday.

Jevon Nathan Freeman, 25, was shot sometime around 6 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 85 where he was attempting to sell an iPhone 5 he had listed for sale on Craigslist to 18-year-old Terrance Justin Dent of Riverdale. Freeman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Dent admitted shooting Freeman, then giving the gun to his friend Latrel Irving. Irving, 17, was charged with possession of a weapon by a minor.

In addition to murder, Dent was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, tampering with evidence, and furnishing a pistol to a minor, police said in a press release.
